Shared Vision - Not Shared Space

Shared Vision - Not Shared Space

The birth of an organization is conceived based on one of the fundamental building blocks – a vision.

A vision of a company is important because it serves as a strategic plan for success. When employees face difficulties, it can serve as a guide. It also helps motivate employees to work toward common goals. Indeed, it will improve the organization’s productivity and efficiency, thus ensuring that all members are working toward a single purpose.

In companies that maximize the potential of the remote team member, we need to understand that it works because every member of the organization has its niche, or function that serves as a role to keep the organization materializing towards its desired outcome. Highlighting the importance of vision statements, it should be a shared vision, not a shared space, especially working with a remote team member. Why?

UNITY DESPITE DIVERSITY

Shared vision enables to unify differences because it embodies the ultimate decision of everything that springs from varying lengths of conversations, opinions, beliefs, and outlooks in life. However, when creating a vision to which everyone adheres, it must represent the whole. So, despite their differences, they band together because they are on the same path. They share the same vision – no matter where the desk sits.

BRAND

A strong shared vision fosters a sense of identity throughout the organization. It nurtures a work environment in which employees can thrive. There is a strong sense of unity and teamwork, as well as high expectations. These aren’t arbitrary rules imposed by out-of-touch management. They are created by employees who are committed to a common goal.

PROGRESS

When you share a vision, it drives progress within the organization and motivates everyone to work towards it. This encourages creative thinking, risk-taking, and constant evolution which helps a business grow and thrive even when the world changes around it.

Shared vision not shared space

“Shared vision not shared space” means that even though individuals may not physically be in the same location, they can still work together towards a common goal by having a shared understanding and agreement on the vision, objectives, and goals they want to achieve.

When it comes to working with a remote team member, this principle is still relevant. While RTMs are not physically present in the same office or workspace as the people they are supporting, they can still be an integral part of a team and contribute to achieving the shared vision.

Unlocking the Power of Remote Team Collaboration

To ensure the remote team member is aligned with the team’s vision, objectives, and goals, it’s crucial to establish clear communication channels and protocols. Regular check-ins, sharing documents and resources, and providing feedback can all help achieve this. Effective collaboration with RTMs leads to increased productivity, better decision-making, and streamlined workflows. When remote team member shares a common vision and goals, they become a valuable and trusted member of the team.

Finding capable and skilled professionals, on the other hand, would be one of the disadvantages of a company whose sole focus is to run the business. Of course, hiring and managing them would be the last thing on their minds.

That is the genius of our APEX strategy: We are all working together to make the vision clearer and more attainable! By doing so, we are also making things happen — goals that a company is aiming to achieve.
